Festival of Fooball
The second Bradwell Festival of Football took place in July. This event was supported by Grants from Acclaim Housing Group and Councillor Twigs’ Leadership fund. The morning saw many children from the Hope Valley taking part in the training sessions run by UK Sports Coaching.
There were tournaments in the afternoon for all ages, the trophies won by our Senior and Junior Clubs this season were on display together with the photo memorabilia we have collected, a bar and BBQ, tea and cakes and other games and stalls ensured this was a great day out and was enjoyed by many.
Well done to all our competitors and especially the winners. Also big thanks to all that helped make the day such a success
For more photos of the event and to keep up to date with all our activities please go the Bradwell Sports Club Facebook page or visit our website bradwellsports@yahoo.co.uk

BRADWELL BOWLS CLUB
“Bradwell Bowls Club was founded in 1985 and has over 40 members. We welcome experienced bowlers and beginners and offer introductory coaching for those new to the sport and run a coaching programme for local schoolchildren.
We have an excellent green and are constantly improving our facilities, all of which are maintained by members of the Club.
The Club has 6 teams spread over the Buxton, Chesterfield and Matlock leagues.
We run our own social Club competitions throughout the year and members can also play at any time when the green is not in use for the social and league matches.
In September we hold our annual Charity Day – a doubles knock out competition – which is open to all Clubs in the area.
Then in November we finish off our season with our annual Dinner and presentation of the Cups won during the season.
Visitors are always welcome at the Club. “
